I am Liselot Caura, founder of Beersecret. Beersecret started out of a passion for sharing my knowledge of beer with others, and many travelers really appreciate having some extra guidance in our rich beer culture! I travel often, usually alone. As a solo traveler, I often stay in hostels, but when I want some privacy, I occasionally go for an Airbnb. Why Ghent?

I studied in Ghent and ended up staying there. Ghent basically has everything Brussels has, but on a smaller scale. It offers a lot of what you need in a city, think of the river, but also the international and intercultural community that you increasingly find in Ghent. I'm a proud resident of Brugse Poort, by the way, which is a very multicultural neighborhood in Ghent. So what can you expect from the map? As a beer guide, I share all my favorite spots, of course.
