How are places selected for the map?

The creator decides what goes on their map. A place makes the map because they'd go back themselves, or send a friend there without hesitating. What makes a place worth recommending is personal, too: one creator might go to the same bar for the live music, another for the cocktails and another for their snacks. In each place's description, they explain why it's there and what to expect.
